Program Description and Nature of Work
All students entering the Tennessee Technology Centers are required to take an assessment test to determine if they need to improve their basic skills in the areas of reading, math, and locating information skills. The purpose of this program is to assist each student in becoming more proficient in these areas. This program helps to develop a sense of pride in improving these basic skills, achieving an acceptable level of proficiency in the basic skills necessary for the student's chosen occupational area, and passing the GED for those needing and desiring a GED diploma. The Course Outline consists of Reading, Math and Locating Information.
