| Individuals who are no longer in
school and are 17 years of age or older with a sincere interest in
the trade and an employment objective may apply for
admission. Applications are available on-line, at the Center in
McKenzie, the extension campus in Martin, or by calling 352-7506.
All students will be tested to determine their aptitude and skills
level for the training desired. Names are placed on a waiting
list by the date the application is received in the Student Services
office. Applicants are notified of their enrollment date when
their name is at the top of the list and a vacancy exists in the
class. Waiting lists are maintained.
The Tennessee Technology Center at McKenzie
operates on the trimester system. Students may enroll
throughout the year whenever an opening occurs in the program in
which they have an interest. Enrollment usually occurs
every Monday throughout the trimester.
A
maintenance and technology access fee is charged for each
trimester of training. Students enrolling between
trimester beginning and ending dates will pay a prorated fee for
that term based on the fee schedule. Students must
purchase textbooks, workbooks, and needed supplies. A list
of books and safety equipment needed for each program is kept in
the Student Service office.
